A well-known name in the prolific U.S. amateur MX scene for the last few years, Team Green rider Kyle Chisholm nearly won his first pro championship last year in the Canadian MX2 East series. Riding under the Richmond Racing Kawasaki banner, Chisholm won the first moto of the East series, but a DNF in the second moto cost him the points lead. Fortunately, Chisholm came back strong the next weekend in Joliette, Quebec and swept both motos to take the lead in the series. Then, at the final round in Ste. Julie, Quebec, Chisholm was leading the series by just one point heading into the final moto. However, he was unable to hang on and the championship slipped through his fingers by a single point.

Richmond brought Chisholm onto their SX effort this winter, and the Floridian came out with a 10th place at the opener in St. Louis along with three top-15 finishes in the Eastern Region Lites class.

Chisholm is coming back to Canada this summer for a second run at the MX2 East crown.
